How to prepare your projects for the lesson?

If you would like me to work on your project during the lesson, please follow these instructions. They will help you to prepare and send it in a correct way.

Preparing a project - for Ableton users

1. Open in Ableton the project you want to send:


2. (skip this if you're a Windows user) If your project uses plugins with AU format, replace them with VST versions. My computer supports only VST2 and VST3 formats.
3. From the "File" menu in Ableton, choose the "Collect All and Save" option.


4. Check every box to "Yes" and click "Ok".


5. Find on your computer the project folder. It should have a black icon.


6. Go to WeTransfer and drag there the project folder. Send it to marcin@dr1lmusic.com e-mail.


Preparing a project - for FL Studio users

1. Open in FL Studio the project you want to send:


2. (skip this if you're a Windows user) If your project uses plugins with AU format, replace them with VST versions. My computer supports only VST2 and VST3 formats.
3. From the "File" menu in FL Studio, find the "Export" menu and use the "Zipped loop package" option.


4. Choose where you want to save the .zip file with the project. If you will get a warning window (like in the image below) during project export, ignore it and click "Ok".


5. Go to WeTransfer and drag there the .zip file. Send it to marcin@dr1lmusic.com e-mail.
